Rather than disperse its formidable collection while it was being renovated, the Boijmans Van Beuningen Museum decided to build a storage facility nearby for its 151 000 works of art. The depot is not only open to the public, it also boasts spectacular architecture. It is clad in reflective panels that create a mirror effect day and night: the city, the park, passers-by on the ground, everything is reflected. From the huge terrace planted with trees at the top of the building, you can take in Rotterdam.
