Among the 800 archaeological pieces on display at this museum, you will see gold objects, skulls and skeletons, shell-shaped ceramics, textiles, arrows and volantes de huso (spindle wheels) dated from the 8C to the 16C, as well as a collection of vestiges from the Guane civilisation. The collection includes the Piedra del Sol, a large rock decorated with circular motifs and spirals carved by the Guane people over 1 000 years ago.
