The largest of the churches in the area, this cathedral of neo-Classical inspiration (1887) opens onto the Parque de Santander. It is particularly photogenic at night, when the lighting shows off its fine and sober façade flanked by two elegant towers. The interior is illuminated by a series of stained-glass windows and adorned with works by local artists. Note the splendid altar canopy made from Italian marble and, from the outside, the ceramic cupola, which was made in Mexico.
