Rainy, verdant and hilly, the country's largest coffee-growing region saw its landscapes inscribed on the World Heritage List by UNESCO in 2011. Situated on the high Andean plateaux of the west of the country, at an altitude between 800m and 1 800m, its hills produce half of Colombia's coffee from barely 1% of national territory. Three cities form this Coffee Triangle: Manizales, Pereira and Armenia, charmless places that you will pass through to discover the typical villages of the Quindío and Caldas departments.
