On the banks of the Seine, this restaurant looks out over the limestone cliffs of Giverny and the passing barges. The setting is pleasant and the atmosphere inviting: polished concrete floors, whitewashed walls and old bistro furniture. Gabin Rodes, a young chef from Vernon who trained at Éric Guérin's La Mare aux Oiseaux, revisits bistro classics without distorting them, a case in point being his leeks in vinaigrette finished with fresh herbs and blue cheese.
