It's a steep climb to the summit of the Pic Blanc du Galibier, but panoramic views reward those with the stamina to take it on: the Pic des Trois Évêchés and the three Aiguilles d'Arves follow on from the crests, the Oisans region lies to the south and Mont Thabor is behind the Col du Galibier; to the north are the Grandes Jorasses, Mont Blanc and the Vanoise.
