In 2001, the discovery of the archaeological site of Jinsha resulted in the history of Chengdu leaping backwards several centuries with the proof of human occupation between 1200 and 650 BCE. The visit includes a tour of the archaeological site, protected by a huge structure, and the museum, whose most famous treasure is the everlasting Golden Sun Bird disk. An animated movie brings the site of Jinsha back to life. Impressive!
