To reach Mount Mansfield, you can take Mt Mansfield Auto Road, a gravel road with tolls that zigzags for 7km/4mi, or you may prefer the Gondola Skyride, an eight-place cable-car. From the summit, the magnificent panorama unfolds: Jay Peak to the northeast, Champlain Lake and the Adirondacks of the state of New York to the west, the White Mountains of New Hampshire to the east, and even Montreal in clear weather!
