The warm coastal waters of Bahía Málaga enjoy an ideal temperature of around 25°C, and it is here that the humpback whales with the region's highest reproduction rate can be observed. The national park, with its lush plant species, makes an excellent base from which to follow their movements among the hundreds of islands and rocky promontories offshore. Inland, the highlights are the waterfalls of Las Sierpes and La Piscina and the Dorada and Chuchero beaches.
